My name is Dorit Rabinovitch. My business name is DORITART. I am a free-lance commercial illustrator and have worked in the Dallas, Texas area since 1990. All of my work these days is digital. I use Corel Painter in the traditional oils style. The result is indistinguishable from the traditional painting on canvas, showing brushwork as well as impasto. My specialty is people, from infants to the mature. I do serious portraits or more lighthearted caricatures using either conservative colors or more riotous ones, according to the client's taste. If necessary, I will create a person, or people from scratch. I am a master of skin tone and different racial features and can give my people a vast range of positions and emotions; all this without the use of software! I do storyboard/comp powerpoint art and am able to complete the most complicated assignment quickly and efficiently because I create the work digitally. I will then e-mail the finished product directly to the client. I work with a lot of ad agencies and design firms, and have never met with most of the creatives because their companies are out of town or state (I do business all across the country) and yet have met their directions, standards and deadlines just through e-mail and the phone. I would be happy to send my pricing list if a prospective client sends an e-mail. I also do tight, realistic illustration for finished art. Using Corel Painter and Photoshop I'm able to make beautiful calligraphy and sharp logos. I have illustrated for childrens books and magazines, and done editorial illustration for business and political newspapers and magazines. All of my pricing is based on that in the "Graphic Artist's Guideline" book, which is considered by most to be the American illustrator's pricing standard.
